The litigation department encompasses practice in a cross cutting area of the law. The litigation department is therefore equipped to handle legal matters in a variety of fields. The department handles criminal and civil litigation with the latter touching on a cross cutting field of law; Page 5 of 17 environmental law, the law of tort, commercial law, family law, labour and employment law among other areas. The litigation department also handles matters in the various tribunals for instance the business premises rent tribunal among others. We are also equipped to handle matters arising and touching on commissions of inquiry among other legal forums. The firm has also initiated mechanisms geared at undertaking suitable and effective action to safeguard our client’s interest including but not limited to making applications to obtain orders with regard to the various circumstances. The department also pursues arbitration, mediation and out of court settlements based on a case to case basis.
